Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is seeking a Line Cook 2 to prepare dishes on time per menu specifications and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service. You will work on an outlet hot/cold line, execute menu items within set timelines, and uphold culinary standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of kitchen experience, strong communication, and the ability to follow recipes in a fast-paced environment. Culinary training is strongly preferred and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
• Basic mathematical skills and understanding of weights and measures.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain knife skills.
• Unexpired Food Handlers certification or obtain upon hire.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and company specs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of culinary fundamentals and techniques.
• Work on outlet hot/cold line and execute menu items within timelines.
• Stay organized with prep sheets and station guides for service readiness.
• Understand proper use of culinary equipment and safe handling procedures.
• Present plates meeting specifications and communicate with team members.
• Maintain positive, professional attitude under pressure and attend department meetings.
• Complete other duties assigned by management and work a restaurant line.
• Lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weight as required.
