Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Franconia, VA is seeking a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You’ll prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and pride, while maintaining quality and presentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift items up to 35 pounds.
• Able to bend, kneel and reach.
• Patience and guest-oriented mindset.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members.
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation required.
• 18+ age requirement for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and good presentation.
• Monitor temperatures and follow food safety standards.
• Label, store, and rotate all food items properly.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
