Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Line Cook to join our Back of House team. You’ll prepare and plate items, maintain your station, and ensure timely service. We foster learning and growth, with extensive on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items up to 35 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
