Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is seeking a Line Cook to join our Back of House team in a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll focus on speed, accuracy, and consistency while preparing and cooking menu items with pride.

You’ll set up and stock your station, read tickets accurately, plate with care, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards. We value teamwork, guest service, and ongoing training for growth within the brand.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day
• Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds
• Ability to be patient and have a guest-oriented mindset
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all team members
• Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures
• Must have reliable transportation
• 18+ age requirements for BOH positions

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station throughout service.
• Read and execute tickets accurately while meeting timing standards.
• Plate dishes with consistency and attention to presentation.
• Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety standards.
• Properly label, store, and rotate all food items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support teammates and communicate effectively during service.
• Complete closing and cleaning checklists as assigned.
