Job summary

Indigo Real Estate is seeking a Compliance Analyst to ensure regulatory compliance across its affordable housing portfolio. You will review resident and applicant files for LIHTC and Section 8 certifications, monitor LIHTC/HUD regulations, and support audit readiness while coordinating with onsite teams remotely from a home office.

Requirements include 2+ years in affordable housing compliance, LIHTC knowledge, and proficiency with Yardi Voyager and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in affordable housing compliance, property management, or related field; LIHTC experience required.
• Deep knowledge of Section 42 LIHTC and HUD Project-Based Section 8 regulations, including income qualifications and recertifications.
• Certification in LIHTC-related credentials is preferred and must be pursued if not already held.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing laws, EIV, TRACS, HAP contracts, and Utility Allowance calculations.

Responsibilities

• Review, process and maintain audit-ready resident and applicant files for LIHTC and Section 8 certifications.
• Stay current on LIHTC and HUD regulations and implement policy updates accordingly.
• Coordinate with onsite teams and resolve compliance discrepancies to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Conduct onsite file reviews and quality control audits; address findings with third-party agencies.
• Prepare monthly compliance reports and data entry into Yardi Voyager and related systems.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and provide staff training on procedures.
