Job summary

Cambridge Real Estate Services is seeking a Compliance Specialist to coordinate and monitor property compliance with affordable housing programs. The role is in-office, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in Portland, OR.

The position requires a B.S. in business/finance/real estate or related field (or equivalent) and 5+ years in property or asset management with a focus on compliance. Knowledge of HUD, RD, and LIHTC is essential, with preferred Yardi and related certifications.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of experience in property management, asset management, or housing regulatory agency with an emphasis on compliance oversight.
• Experience in RD, HUD, and LIHTC.
• Working knowledge of Yardi preferred.
• Certification in COS, C3P, HCCP, NCP, CSC, CLS, and/or LIHTC preferred.
• Experience processing HUD HAP Voucher data to TRACS and MINC.
• Experience using EIV reports.
• Experience preparing audit documentation and responding to compliance findings.
• Understanding property regulatory agreements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tax credit project tenant files are 100% in compliance.
• Ensure HUD project tenant files are 100% in compliance.
• Work with government agencies to generate and provide monthly reports.
• Coordinate and perform file audits by testing periodic tenant recertifications.
• Provide orientation and training to Property Managers on compliance and develop action plans for corrections.
• Keep current on changes in regional affordable housing regulations and assist in distributing this information.
