Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants is seeking a Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing programs across properties. The role involves audits, data entry, and coordination with on-site and corporate staff to maintain accurate records and timely reporting.

The position requires processing LIHTC certifications, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience handling LIHTC (Section 42) paperwork and certifications.
• Familiarity with HUD, Section 8, 202 and/or 811 programs.
• Ability to process LIHTC certifications accurately and on time.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data.
• Effective communication with staff, properties, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance across housing programs and audits.
• Coordinate with on-site and corporate staff to meet regulatory requirements.
• Travel as needed based on business demands.
• Perform audits and implement solutions to compliance gaps.
• Maintain compliance data entry, filing, and file maintenance in reporting systems.
• Process commissions for move-ins and re-certifications as applicable.
• Interact with Local Housing Authority and State Agency staff on compliance matters.
