Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Compliance Specialist to ensure LIHTC and HUD regulatory compliance across properties. You will work with on-site and corporate staff, perform audits, and support certifications and annual audits.

The role requires travel based on business needs, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication with Local Housing Authority and state agencies. Full-time with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with LIHTC/Section 42 certifications and LIHTC paperwork.
• Familiarity with HUD, Section 8, 202 and/or 811 programs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work with on-site and corporate staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Travel as required based on business needs.
• Perform audits and implement necessary solutions.
• Handle administrative tasks including data entry into compliance systems, filing, and file maintenance.
• Process commissions for move-ins and re-certifications.
• Coordinate with Local Housing Authority and State Agency staff on compliance matters.
• Assist in Mass Recertifications/Re-syndication/Lease ups/Acquisitions.
• Review property management software data for accuracy.
• Ensure correct 60/50% Tax Credit, Bond, and RDA allocations per property.
• Follow up on Utility Allowances and income/rent limits with county/city.
