Job summary

Monroe Tractor & Implement Co. is seeking a Light Equipment & Rental Sales Representative to grow sales of light equipment and rentals across the Hartford, New Haven, and Middlesex counties.

You will identify prospects, explain product benefits, and close sales while leveraging our rental fleet. The role emphasizes building long-term customer relationships, using CRM for pipeline management, and meeting sales targets through a base+commission structure.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with light construction equipment required.
• Proven sales success with meeting/exceeding goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Clear and concise communications and strong sense of urgency.
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office and CRM.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective customers for light equipment and rental services.
• Ask questions, listen, and advise customers on product options and benefits.
• Explain product performance, applications, and suitability to customers.
• Present all equipment options for customer purchases.
• Rent the full product line (Light & Heavy) where applicable and drive utilization of rentals.
• Build rapport and long-term relationships with customers; overcome objections and close sales.
• Actively use and update the CRM system.
