Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Life Sciences Business Development professional to join the Healthcare and Life Sciences Applied AI Solutions GTM organization.

You will support execution of GTM strategy for HCLS customers and partners, identifying business opportunities and driving adoption of AWS AI solutions. As part of AWS, you will work with internal teams to communicate value propositions, qualify opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth in the life sciences vertical, including

Qualifications

• 3+ years of business agreements development, negotiation and execution experience.
• 3+ years of professional or military experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience supporting strategies that influence leadership decisions.
• 2+ years of Life Sciences experience.
• Experience with startups or large enterprise customers.
• Experience in business development, sales, or partner-facing roles within life sciences, healthcare, or technology sectors.
• Familiarity with managing sales cycles and technical evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working understanding of AWS services to communicate value propositions to diagnostics, pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and clinical research organizations.
• Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, solutions architecture, and other teams to support tailored proposals for genomics, precision medicine, and clinical diagnostics.
• Qualify opportunities and support customers through the sales cycle, addressing data security, regulatory compliance, and bioinformatics workflows questions.
• Grow HealthOmics and Clinical Diagnostics services relationships by engaging with systems integrators and industry partners.
• Contribute to revenue growth by supporting pipeline development and tracking progress against targets in healthcare and life sciences.
• Support GTM plans covering key segments and customers in genomics, clinical diagnostics, and personalized medicine.
• Interface with customer stakeholders at Director/Manager level (Director of Bioinformatics, Manager of Clinical Systems, Operations leads).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Business Development, Product, Finance, Marketing, Training, Operations, and Legal for life sciences needs.
