Amazon Web Services (AWS) Life Sciences AAIS GTM team seeks a Principal Life Sciences Business Development Lead to drive go-to-market strategy for global HCLS customers and partners, identifying business opportunities and accelerating adoption of AWS AI solutions.

This role blends technical depth with strategic business development, requiring collaboration with sales, solutions architecture, and partners to win complex opportunities in genomics, clinical diagnostics, and personalized medicine.

Qualifications

7+ years of Life Sciences experience.
7+ years developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
Experience influencing leadership decisions.

Responsibilities

Develop a strong technical understanding of AWS services to communicate value to diagnostics, pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and clinical research organizations.
Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, solutions architecture, and other teams to deliver proposals for genomics, precision medicine, and clinical diagnostics.
Qualify and manage high-potential opportunities, guiding customers through the sales cycle and addressing regulatory compliance and bioinformatics workflows.
Build and expand HealthOmics and clinical diagnostics services relationships with key systems integrators and industry partners.
Contribute to revenue growth and pipeline targets in the healthcare and life sciences vertical.
Support go-to-market models for genomics, diagnostics, and personalized medicine fields.
Interface with customers at VP/Director level including VP of Operations and Director of Bioinformatics.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Product, Finance, Marketing, Training, Operations and Legal.
