Job summary

Cambrian Homecare in California is hiring for a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide 1:1 respite care for children and adults with developmental disabilities. You will manage feeding via G-tube, administer medications, monitor vitals, and participate in seizure management as needed.

Knowledge of insulin injections and blood sugar checks is required. A valid CPR card and a clean background are essential for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Active CA LVN license
• CPR certification required
• TB test and physical within 6 months
• Clear criminal background
• 1 year of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 respite care for individuals with developmental disabilities
• G-tube care and feeding
• Take vital signs and administer medications
• TrachCare (rarely; not required)
• Monitor blood sugar and inject insulin
• Seizure management and safety
• Document visits in nursing notes
• Support clients and families
• Monitor and report changes in care

Pay rate: $35.00 hourly

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 respite care for families ofa child or adult with developmental disabilities
• GastronomyTube(g-tube) Care and Feeding
• Take vital signs and administer medication
• TrachCare (very rarely, do not need to have experience in this)
• Check blood sugar and administer insulin injection
• Seizure Management – may need to give medication if ordered and ensure safety
• Document on nursing notes every visit
• Be asupportto clients andtheir familymembers
• Monitor and report changes in client care and/orbehavior

Qualifications

• Active CA. LVN License
• CPR certification
• Physical within the last 6 months and recent TB test
• Current TB test, current physical, Valid CPR card and First Aide (within 30 days of hire)
• Must have 1 year of experience
• Clear criminal background
