Job summary

Cambrian Homecare of Long Beach, CA is hiring for 1:1 respite care providers. You will assist children and adults with developmental disabilities at the client’s home, monitor vitals, administer medications, and document visits.

Training includes Covid-19 protocols and PPE guidance. Ideal candidates have at least one year of home care experience, an active CA LVN license, CPR certification, and a current TB test with a recent physical.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in home care.
• CPR certification.
• TB test within last 6 months and current TB test.
• Current physical and CPR card and First Aid within 30 days of hire.
• Clear criminal background.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 respite care for families of a child or adult with developmental disabilities.
• GastronomyTube(g-tube) Care and Feeding.
• Take vital signs and administer medication.
• TrachCare (very rarely, do not need to have experience in this).
• Check blood sugar and administer insulin injection.
• Seizure Management – may need to give medication if ordered and ensure safety.
• Document on nursing notes every visit.
• Be supportive to clients and their family members.
• Monitor and report changes in client care and/or behavior.

Pay rate: $35.00 hourly
