Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care on-site. You will assist patients in selecting frames, ensuring proper fit, and accurately dispensing lenses while staying current with product options and insurance benefits.

You will communicate effectively with patients, technicians, and managers, manage order status, and educate customers on care and warranty options to support trust and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Must have active state licensure to dispense eyewear.
• Experience in optical dispensing and patient fittings preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Knowledge of insurance benefits, copays, and clinical terminology is a plus.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing with accuracy.
• Provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care, warranty, and protection plans.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE system and manage order status.
