Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring a Licensed Optician on-site to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will interpret prescriptions, ensure proper frame fit, and dispense lenses with accuracy while using EHR and ALE systems.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through product options, educating on care and warranties, and staying current with insurance benefits and company procedures. Full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

State licensure required as licensed optician.
High School or GED qualification.
ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
Optical dispensing experience.
HIPAA knowledge preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories per prescription and lifestyle.
Take measurements, ensure proper frame fit, and dispense lenses accurately.
Educate patients on care, warranties, and coverage options.
Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and maintain records.
Handle order status updates and escalate issues promptly.
Interact with technicians and managers to relay patient information.
Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Understand insurance plans, copays, and benefits relevant to patients.
