Job summary

AEG is seeking a licensed optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, verify measurements, and ensure correct dispensing while offering top-notch service.

Role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and insurance plans, handling orders, and communicating clearly with technicians and managers to deliver a superior patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state license to practice as an optician.
• Experience dispensing eyewear and processing prescriptions.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy guidelines.
• ABO/NCLE is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescriptions, lifestyle, and style.
• Take and verify measurements, ensure proper frame fit and lens dispensing.
• Explain insurance benefits, warranties, and care options to patients.
• Enter prescriptions into EHR/ALE systems and update patients on order status.
• Perform eyewear adjustments, repairs, and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
