Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in choosing frames, lenses, and treatments while ensuring proper fit and accurate measurements. A strong knowledge of insurance and product options helps you guide customers to the best choices.

As a Licensed Optician, you will leverage your technical dispensing skills, maintain EHR documentation, and deliver a high-quality patient experience consistent with our standards.

Qualifications

• State licensure required or in-process.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an extraordinary patient experience and explains recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Keeps up-to-date on products, rebates, lenses and frames, and insurance.
• Enters prescription information into EHR/ALE; ensures documentation.
• Dapers eyewear fit and adjusts to ensure comfort and acuity.
• Educates patients on care, warranties, and coverage options.
• Follows up on orders and notifies patients of status or delays.
• Inspects final product for quality and polish.
