Job summary

AEG Vision in Orlando is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits prescription, lifestyle, and personal style, ensuring proper fit and accurate lens dispensing.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR, and maintain high standards of service, insurance understanding, and product knowledge. Join a team focused on leadership development and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• State Licensure is required.
• High School or GED qualification is required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience is required.
• HIPAA requirements experience preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains our customized recommendations.
• Receive patient handoff from technicians or doctors and identify visual needs.
• Keep current on products, procedures, rebates, lenses and frames.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system with proper documentation.
• Follow up on orders and inform patients of delays and ready dates.
• Dispense glasses with proper fit and adjustments; verify visual acuity.
