Job summary

AEG Vision in Huron, Ohio, is recruiting a Licensed Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, take precise measurements, and dispense according to prescriptions.

You will enter prescriptions into the EHR/ALE system, collaborate with technicians and doctors, and educate patients on lens treatments, warranties, and insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• State licensure required for practice.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Provide expert eyewear recommendations and educate patients.
• Enter prescription information into EHR/ALE and maintain documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize eyewear displays.
• Respond to patient questions about insurance, warranties, and pricing.
