Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a licensed dispensing optician to join our in-house optical team. You will become an expert in our brand and glasses, taking measurements, fitting eyewear, and ensuring accuracy to meet customer needs.

You will explain prescription terminology, assist with frame and lens selection, and help deliver exceptional service that reflects Warby Parker’s values and commitment to customers.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states requiring a license or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• Strong passion for eyewear and retail.
• Clear, effective communication that explains prescription terminology to customers.
• Detail-oriented and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Collaborate with team to provide exceptional service to all customers.
• Assist customers in choosing frames and lenses based on prescription and style.
• Contribute to best practices for sales and customer service within the organization.
• Represent the Warby Parker brand and educate customers about our values and mission.
