Qualifications

• Provides front-line customer service and information assistance.
• Handles inquiries via in-person, email, phone, chat or text.
• Assists with locating and circulating library materials.

Responsibilities

• Answers general customer questions in person or remotely.
• Provides readers’ advisory and reference service, including for remote patrons.
• Shelves and processes returned materials; searches for requested items.
• Supports desk setup, ILS reports, supply orders and interagency requests.
• Maintains collection order and assists with room reservations and technology support.
• Guides customers on using library technologies and job resources.
• Represents library policies to the public in a friendly manner.
• Circulates materials, registers patrons, and handles holds and fees.
• Supports diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and adheres to library policies.
