Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District in Colorado seeks a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager to lead daily operations at the branch, deliver outstanding customer service, and partner with community organizations.

The position requires a Master’s in Library Science and library experience; you will supervise staff, plan youth and adult programs, manage safety, and stay current with library trends and e-resources.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association.
• One year of library experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes facilitated customer service by proactively approaching customers to offer assistance.
• Develops youth programs such as story times and outreach to schools and daycares.
• Partners with outside organizations and businesses to meet community needs and provides outreach to seniors and community centers.
• Builds community partnerships and coordinates programs promoting library materials and services.
• Supervises staff and assists Branch Manager with daily operations, scheduling, and safety.
