Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District is seeking a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager to lead daily operations at the branch and support community programs in Pueblo, Colorado.

The role requires MLS, library experience, and strong leadership with a focus on customer service, programs for children and adults, and effective use of library resources. The position entails supervisory duties, outreach, and collaboration with community partners.

Qualifications

• MLS required; library experience preferred.
• Experience in planning and delivering children’s programs and story times.
• Ability to conduct complex reference interviews and locate specialized information.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with diverse patrons.
• Leadership and supervisory skills to oversee branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent customer service and assist patrons with materials and resources.
• Present story times and coordinate outreach programs to schools and daycares.
• Partner with local organizations to meet community needs and build partnerships.
• Assist the Branch Manager with daily operations, scheduling, and safety.
• Act as Person-In-Charge in the manager’s absence and handle cash reconciliation where needed.
• Explain library rules and help patrons use e-resources and digital tools.
