Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District is hiring a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily operations at the branch and lead service delivery. The role reports to the Branch Manager and collaborates with external partners to advance programs and community outreach.

Ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Library Science, strong customer service, supervision skills, and the ability to manage staff schedules, safety, and cash handling when required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• One year of library experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and manage branch operations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to build partnerships with community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Promotes facilitated Customer Service by proactively assisting customers.
• Presents story times and coordinates programs for children; outreach to schools/daycares.
• Partner with outside organizations to meet community needs; outreach to facilities.
• Builds community partnerships and arranges programs promoting library materials/services.
• Assists Branch Manager with daily operations, safety, and security.
• Supervises staffing coverage and scheduling; acts as PIC in manager’s absence.
