Job summary

Pueblo City-County Library District in Colorado is hiring a Librarian/Assistant Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, deliver excellent customer service, and work with external partners.

The role requires a Master’s in Library Science and a year of library experience; you will lead youth and adult programs, supervise staff, and serve as PIC when needed, with schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program; one year library experience preferred.
• Strong reference interview and research skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication with diverse groups.
• Ability to supervise and manage branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service and assist patrons with library materials.
• Present story times and outreach to youth; coordinate programs with schools.
• Develop community partnerships and promote library programs.
• Assist Branch Manager with staffing and scheduling.
• Serve as Person-In-Charge and ensure safe, secure branch operations.
• Prepare program reports and attend leadership meetings.
