Job summary

Texas Roadhouse is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily Back of House operations, ordering, receiving, preparation, and presentation of food. The role entails hands-on leadership, ensuring recipe adherence, safety, and high standards of service.

You will monitor peak-hour production, manage inventories, supervise staff, and uphold our culture of passion, integrity, partnership, and fun with purpose.

Qualifications

• Supervises and oversees the production of food.
• Monitors tickets and sets the pace during peak hours.
• Manages through hands-on supervision of the restaurant, including non-scheduled assistance with serving, hosting, cooking.
• Ensures proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items.
• Manages inventory and tracks waste.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment.
• Ensures consistency in food and service to increase sales.
• Practices safe food handling procedures.
• Ensures Back of House employees follow established recipes and procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment and develops Back of House employees.
• Maintains restaurant cleanliness and guest safety.

Responsibilities

• Conducts formal line Taste and Temp checks.
• Ensures proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items.
• At Kitchen Manager direction, manages inventory and tracks waste.
• Monitors and maintains cleanliness and maintenance of equipment.
• Ensures consistency in food and service to increase sales.
• Understands and practices safe food handling procedures.
• Ensures Back of House employees follow recipes and procedures.
• Creates a safe environment and assists in developing Back of House employees.
• Maintains cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of guests.
