Job summary

Voya Financial is seeking a Claims Analyst for the VLM department to guide claimants through the leave process with empathy and clarity. You will manage Short Term Disability, FMLA and other paid leaves while ensuring service quality and regulatory compliance.

Location is hybrid, with proximity to a Voya location. You will analyze claim payments, make decisions on non-complex claims, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of FMLA or unpaid leave claims experience.
• 2 years in short-term disability or paid leave claims.
• Strong decision-making and critical thinking.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

• Analyze and determine claim payments accurately and timely.
• Make claim decisions on non-complex disability claims.
• Communicate clearly via phone and email.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in team problem-solving and process improvements.
• Manage assigned work queues within SLAs.
• Support additional projects as needed.
