Job summary

Voya Financial is seeking a Claims Analyst in a hybrid role to support the Voya Leave Management (VLM) department. You will guide claimants through FMLA and disability processes with empathy, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The position emphasizes service quality, cross-functional collaboration, and timely claim decisions.

The role requires 1–2 years in leave/SDI claims, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office. Location-based details include Atlanta, GA or other Voya sites.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in FMLA or unpaid leave claims management.
• 2 years of experience in short-term disability or paid leave claims management
• Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
• Medical/vocational management experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and determine claim payments in an accurate and timely manner
• Claim decisions on non-complex disability claims
• Communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in team-based problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage assigned work queues within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed
