Job summary

Voya Financial in Minneapolis is seeking a Claims Analyst to support the Leave Management program, guiding claimants through short-term disability, FMLA, and other paid leaves with empathy and clarity.

You will analyze eligibility, communicate via phone and email, manage queues within SLAs, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, timely decisions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in FMLA or unpaid leave claims management.
• 2 years of experience in short-term disability or paid leave claims management
• Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
• Medical/vocational management.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and determine claim payments with accuracy and timeliness.
• Non-complex disability claim decisions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in team-based problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage assigned work queues within defined SLAs.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
