Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a Leasing Agent to serve as the primary sales representative and drive occupancy through consultative selling and lease conversions.

You will engage with prospective residents, present housing options, and close leases while adhering to applicable laws and company policies. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of related sales or customer-facing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.
• A valid State Real Estate License is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive leasing performance by responding to and following up on inquiries from prospective residents.
• Engage with potential tenants, presenting compelling housing options to encourage applications.
• Negotiate lease terms and explain leases and related documents clearly to new tenants.
• Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to move applicants through the leasing journey.
