Job summary

AMH is seeking a Leasing Agent in Houston, TX to act as the primary sales contact for prospective residents. You will drive occupancy through consultative selling, relationship building, and timely lease conversions.

The role requires presenting housing options, negotiating terms, and guiding applicants through the leasing journey. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in sales or customer-facing roles, plus real estate licensing.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience required.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.
• A valid State Real Estate License is required.

Responsibilities

• Drives leasing performance by responding to and following up on inquiries from prospective residents.
• Engage with potential tenants, offering compelling housing options to encourage applications.
• Negotiate lease terms and explain leases and documents to new tenants.
• Perform leasing activities in compliance with applicable laws to maximize occupancy.
• Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to navigate applicants through the leasing journey.
