Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in leasing, marketing and resident relations, ensuring smooth property operations. The role involves processing applications, coordinating leases, and maintaining financial records.

You will assist with advertising, show units, screen applicants, manage renewal notices, and input data into Yardi; you’ll help with rent collection, invoices, and resident inquiries while upholding Fair Housing

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interaction with prospective residents.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of college preferred.
• Apartment management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials and show units to prospects.
• Screen applicants and maintain rental records for comparable units.
• Process applications, credit checks, and deposits; assist with renewals.
• Communicate courteously with residents, applicants, and vendors; answer questions.
• Prepare leases, input data into the Yardi system, and submit for approvals.
• Monitor renewals, distribute notices, and assist with rent collection and receipts.
• Maintain resident files and help with invoices, payments, and basic accounting tasks.
• Represent the community professionally and uphold policies and Fair Housing requirements.
