Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to work with the Community Manager to ensure smooth property operation and to step in as needed.

You will assist with leasing, advertising, resident relations, and maintaining accurate financial records using Yardi. A strong focus on communication, organization, and willingness to obtain Fair Housing certification is essential; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work most weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials.
• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain records of rental levels of comparable units in the surrounding area.
• Present creative leasing and marketing ideas.
• Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, and representatives of other companies.
• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria; obtain applications and deposits.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals (credit check, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Process rental payments and forward to Community Manager.
• Input lease information in Yardi accurately; obtain signatures after review.
• Assist with lease preparation, signing, and administration.
• Coordinate with maintenance on service requests and resident questions.
