Job summary

Cardinal is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) in Michigan. The role supports high-quality customer service, assists in leasing, and aims for 100% occupancy through retention and proactive leasing of future availability.

Responsibilities include front desk duties, adhering to the Cardinal Way of Leasing, showroom presentation, and completing lease paperwork. Position requires evenings/weekends and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have completed at least one year at the enrolled college/university.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure residents are satisfied.
• Administrative front desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training as required.
• Greet prospective clients, answer leasing calls, determine needs, present the community and apartments, and close the sale.
• Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork.
• Maintain lease file documentation and assist with audits.
• Keep tour path clean for a positive first impression.
• Support planning of community events and other projects as assigned.
• On-call responsibilities (lock-outs, nightly rounds) and availability evenings/weekends.
