Job summary

Cable One is seeking an experienced Lease Accountant to join our finance team. This role emphasizes ASC 842 lease accounting, general ledger integrity, and end-to-end lease reporting processes.

You will maintain schedules, prepare analyses and journal entries, reconcile accounts, support audits, and stay current with FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards. Remote options are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting with at least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls for reporting.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances to resolve issues.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as directed by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting internal accounting and reporting.
