Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain lease accounting schedules under ASC 842 and support end-to-end reporting for the lease portfolio. The role involves preparing analyses, journal entries, reconciling balance sheets, and assisting with audits and SOX controls.

Minimum one year of general ledger experience and a Bachelor's in Accounting are required; ASC 842 experience is highly preferred. Remote work is considered for qualified candidates in eligible states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; and at least 1 year of GL accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as directed by leadership.
• Keeps updated on FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
