Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain lease accounting schedules under ASC 842, develop end-to-end understanding of leasing processes, and prepare analyses and journal entries for lease accounting.

The role supports audits, SOX compliance, and internal controls, collaborates with stakeholders, and participates in special projects, with ongoing updates of FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules per ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, including stakeholders and systems.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances promptly.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
• Keeps current on FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
