Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team in a remote-capable role focused on lease accounting under ASC 842. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, manage journal entries, and support audits to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience, with preferred familiarity in ASC 842 lease accounting and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
