Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. You will maintain lease accounting schedules under ASC 842, support end-to-end processes, and prepare analyses and journal entries.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience; ASC 842 experience is highly preferred. This role offers a remote-friendly environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by leadership.
