Job summary

Cable One is seeking a dedicated accounting professional to join our team. You will maintain lease accounting schedules in line with ASC 842 and develop a thorough understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process, its stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.

You will proactively prepare analyses and journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and support audit activities including SOX compliance. A bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least one year of GL experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develop understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and related controls.
• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and associated journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Support internal and external audit activities including SOX compliance.
• Execute special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
