Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease schedules and support end-to-end lease accounting processes. You will develop a deep understanding of related systems, run analyses, and prepare journal entries to keep the books accurate.1

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting and at least one year in general ledger work; ASC 842 experience is highly preferred. Remote-friendly with flexible state hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances promptly.
• Supports internal and external audits, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as directed by department leadership.
• Keeps current on FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards and communicates impacts.
