Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease schedules and support end-to-end lease accounting processes. The role involves journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and cross-team collaboration within the finance group.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least one year of general ledger experience, preferably in a public or corporate setting. Remote work is considered for the right candidate in eligible states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports audit activities including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as needed.
• Keeps abreast of FASB/SEC/PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
