Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accounting Accountant to manage ASC 842 schedules and related analyses. The role focuses on end-to-end lease accounting processes, journal entries, and internal controls within a supportive finance team.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least one year of GL experience, with familiarity in lease accounting and SOX compliance to support audits and disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting is required.
• Minimum one year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting process and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by leadership.
• Keeps up with FASB/SEC/PCAOB changes affecting accounting and disclosure.
