Job summary

Cable One is seeking a detail‑oriented Lease Accountant to manage ASC 842 lease accounting schedules and supporting analyses. You will collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, while supporting internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience; ASC 842 experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting, plus at least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses for department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB/SEC/PCAOB changes and assesses impact.
