Job summary

Cable One is hiring a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease schedules and develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process. You will support journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses while collaborating with internal teams and auditors.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 1 year of general ledger experience; familiarity with lease accounting standards is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• At least 1 year of general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops end-to-end understanding of lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances promptly.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as needed by leadership.
• Keeps up-to-date with FASB/SEC/PCAOB disclosures affecting accounting.

Skills
