Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to manage ASC 842 lease accounting schedules, understand end-to-end lease processes, and prepare analyses and journal entries for reporting accuracy.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting and at least one year of GL experience, with a preference for ASC 842 expertise. Remote opportunities are available for qualified candidates nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting; and a minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process including related stakeholders, systems, processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB accounting standards and assesses impact on reporting.
