Job summary

Cable One is seeking an Accountant to maintain lease accounting schedules and develop a deep understanding of end-to-end processes supporting internal and external reporting.

The role emphasizes journal entries, reconciliations, and SOX-compliant audit support, with opportunities to work on special projects and stay current with standards set by FASB, SEC and PCAOB. This position suits candidates with a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least 1 year of GL experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting, plus 1 year of general ledger experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules per ASC 842.
• Understands end-to-end lease accounting processes and controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audits including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as directed by leadership.
• Keeps current with FASB, SEC, and PCAOB standards impacting accounting.
