Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accounting Analyst to maintain ASC 842 schedules and develop a deep understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, supporting accurate external and internal reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Financial Accounting and at least one year of general ledger experience, with ASC 842 experience preferred. You will assist audits, reconciliations, and special projects while upholding accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Financial Accounting, with at least one year of practical general ledger experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process, including stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls for reporting.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts; investigates and resolves variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards by FASB, SEC and PCAOB, and analyzes impact of changes.
