Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules, reconcile balances, and support internal controls and external reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, process understanding, and proactive analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least one year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses for department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
