Job summary

Cable One seeks a Lease Accounting Analyst to maintain ASC 842 schedules and develop a detailed understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process, including stakeholders, systems, and internal controls.

You will prepare analyses, post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support SOX/compliance activities and audits. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 1 year of GL experience are required; ASC 842 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting with at least 1 year of GL accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end process of lease accounting, including related stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and internal controls that support internal and external reporting.
• Proactively works on preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries in support of lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts; Investigates and resolves variances on a timely basis.
• Supports assigned internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects and analyses as requested by department leadership.
• Proactively seeks to keep abreast of accounting, reporting and disclosure standards promulgated by the FASB, SEC and PCAOB that affect internal accounting and reporting practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Accounting

1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience

ASC 842 lease accounting experience (preferred)
